WELCOME TO MY BLOG

Hi I'm Christin Rose and I appreciate you stopping by my blog! I'm a photographer based in Los Angeles, California. The inspiration for my photos is to tell true stories & to pay extra attention to the sweet stuff that surrounds us constantly. Hope you enjoy.

Okay after the concert last night, I'm finally ready for the holidays. The Mots Nouveaux, along with a couple other bands, Honeyhoney & Coyol, rocked the Bootleg Theatre in Silverlake last night. Here's a few snaps.

Love these out & about photos, Chris. Especially the one I'm calling "Thank You For Helping Me Feel." More like thank YOU! Can't wait to hit the town with you again.

Inspired by a realization that I am blessed to be surrounded by some unbelievably talented people, I've decided to start a regular blog section titled 'almost famous'. It's a tribute to the people that are pursuing their dreams, making things happen and closer than they realize to having it all come to life. Who better to start with than gifted singer, songwriter, and actress Emma Fitzpatrick. Her fearlessness and attention to what she loves is what has driven this Nashville gem to quick success within a year of moving to LA. Tonight she'll be performing with Aaron Beaumont at The Hotel Cafe in Hollywood, http://www.hotelcafe.com/. Even with all the success Emma has already had, she finds a way to remain so humble and thankful for every last bit of it. I was sitting at her house, in sweats, eating pizza on Monday night just listening to her belt out songs she's written - thinking to myself, this girl is the real deal. I can't even imagine where she'll be in 5 years, or 10 years from now  if she continues to do what she's doing. She also performs at the Dresden in Los Feliz, http://www.thedresden.com/ regularly, where I took some photos at her last show. Good luck tonight Em! You're an inspiration.

Among the endless Boutiques in West Hollywood, there is a tiny gem. Vintage jewelry shop, The House of Love and Luck www.houseofloveandluck.com on La Cienega is filled with authentic, one-of-a-kind  finds and even more authentic people running the place. Thursday night I had the absolute pleasure of celebrating the House of Love and Luck's one year anniversary. I showed up with my camera, not quite sure what to expect and instantaneously Co-owners, Ricki Miller and Jared Meisler, among other employees invited me in and made me feel right at home. As guests spent the evening trying on the gorgeous pieces and sipping champagne, I couldn't help thinking to myself what a beautiful environment Ricki has created. A showcase designer of the night was the lovely Miss Nola Singer http://www.jewelrybynola.com/ . She was glowing. It seemed like every time I caught her with my camera, she had a big smile on her face. She takes multiple vintage pieces and puts them together to make one-of-a-kind pieces that shine, almost as much as she does. People were swooning over her designs all night long. Thank you to everyone at House of Love and luck; you walk the talk of your store name. Any stylists out there, pull pieces from here for your next shoot!
